More about the Honorees:

Joseph Caracappa started his career at a NYC based elevator consulting firm in 1990, and his aspirations of entrepreneurship led him to start his own firm in 2002. He quickly grew the company to be the one of the largest inspections and consulting firms in New York City. He has been a leader in the elevator consulting industry for over 34 years and is well respected by his colleagues, peers, clients and competitors. He serves on several industry boards and committees as well as several charity boards and committees including the CMA Annual Golf outing. Joseph is a graduate of Stony Brook University.

Jo Ann Caracappa started her career in the software development industry in 1991. She joined Joe in 2002 with their start up business and was an integral part of the company’s growth. She was instrumental in developing the company’s database and software program to manage the day-to-day operations of the business. She serves on several charity boards and committees including CMA’s Foundation Board. She is currently transitioning to retired life and spends most of her time in Florida. She is looking forward to dedicating more time to volunteering with various organizations and charities, traveling and focusing on personal growth. Jo Ann is a graduate of Dowling College.

Joseph and Jo Ann have been married for over 31 years and have two children, Joseph (28) and Vincent (26). Both boys are currently working in the elevator industry and learning from their mentor.
